It wouldn't be an unknown entity. It would be a script, likely from Jeff.

Jeff already has a script that does this but it only works with BIND and some T1 people do not run BIND.  Also, I believe a T2 script is also in the works.

I see the attraction in doing this, but it would freak my out to let
some unknown entity have root powers to change my bind config at will.
