- Subject: [opennic-dns-operations] When to give up on Tier 1 server?
- Date: Sat, 22 Dec 2012 12:30:19 -0500 (EST)
- Importance: Normal
For the last week my Tier 2 server has been complaining about this Tier 1
server being inaccessible:
209.141.35.9
2607:f358:1:fed5:22:4329:2793:fc94
(These provide the .pirate TLD on IPv4 and IPv6)
So my question is this: how long does a Tier 1 server need to be offline
before it is advisable to remove its dead IP address(es) from the Masters
list in a Tier 2 server?
Thanks.
