The master server looks for updates every 15 minutes and generates a new zone when needed (including removing servers that are not responding). The slave servers do not update immediately, and some can take up to a day or two before they load the new zone. My own servers have similar entries in the log, as they check other servers for updates.

It's nothing to worry about, your server will only update to the newest entry it finds.

Hi,

after a restart of the server I got:

Mar 27 18:40:04 resolv pdns[5321]: Domain dns.opennic.glue more recent than master, our serial 2011032603 > their serial 2011032601

I assue, one of the masters is not up2date. I am right?

Here is my zone config:

zone "dns.opennic.glue" {
type slave;
file "/var/pdns/dns.opennic";
masters {
216.87.84.214;
128.177.28.254;
207.192.71.13;
66.244.95.11;
202.83.95.229;
};
notify no;
};

Thanks,
Uwe
