Just having a second look at everything here...Yeah, I'm definately not
imagining this:

It seems to be in the steady increase at this moment. Just looking at
netstat it's all random IP addresses, so does not seem to be an attack.

A couple days ago, this system was barely feeling the DNS load, now
suddenly it's on it's knees just about.
