I belong to many mailing lists, and not a single one requires me to
opt-in on a yearly basis.  Please, let those of us who know what we
are doing continue to exercise their right to ignore the emails of
their choice!

(BTW, I ignore every m/l reminder out of principle.  I figure there's
a way to turn them off, but I'm just too lazy.)
