We are pleased to announce that a new set of wiki pages have been
created to help in the setup and maintenance of tier-2 servers.  The
starting point for this guide may still be found at:

The guide has been broken up into multiple pages now, with a separate
page for each type of software or distinct configuration.  New
information has been added to give potential operators a better
perspective of what they might encounter, including warnings about the
possibility of DDoS attacks and exceeding their provider's data caps.

You will also find near the bottom of the new page a link to security
measures that can be taken to you limit the damage from any attacks, and
hopefully help prevent your server from becoming part of any attack on
other services.  This data will of course be updated as new information
is discovered.

Please feel free to make any suggestions or let us know if there are
