Heya Guys,

Just an update on OpenNIC...

===Donations===

Our donation fund was $7000. We have recently puchased two linode VPSes
at a total cost of $1636.48 leaving us with $5363.52 left in the bank.

===Infrastructure===

ns0 still going strong with the occasional lock up. With the two new
VPSes purchased we will be moving the main site and wiki to a HA setup
with ns0 continuing to do our "batch" operations(report generation, root
zone genetartion, etc...).

Once the new servers are ready and we migrate, the website(s) we will be
making it SSL only.

===Moving forward===

==LDAP==

With more of our services moving towards using LDAP auth, we will be
concentrating more on moving the last of our services to LDAP.

==Voting==

With the voting issues rasied recently, I'd like to see everyone take
one big step backwards. Take a deep breath, and get organised.

I'd like to ask Alexander Nordlund, Quinn Wood and hopefully Anner van
Hardenbroek to work together to come up with a new voting system and
associated policy.

==.pirate==

The new TLD system is _just_ about ready and I've herd in the next few
days it could go live. We will not drop this TLD yet and leave it with
Travis. However, Travis will have to ensure prompt communications to
this list when there are problems. Providing he can stick to this,
.pirate will live where it is for now.

Cheers for reading guys!
