You can use a threaded view in your client to make your reading easier.
Or you can view on the online interface at lists.opennicproject.org. As
of now, the password on the list site is NOT the same as your
members.opennicproject.org login, though that eventually will be fixed.

As for why forums suck, someone may have a better explanation, however
it boils down to a difference in preference of having information
delivered to you versus having to go out and retrieve the information.
With a list, the information is delivered right to your email box where
it can be sorted, tagged, and viewed in a client that you're likely
already using anyway. A forum requires a web browser and you must go
retrieve the information there.
