It's time to start transferring NS0 DNS operations to the new servers. All of the opennic TLD zones are in sync between the new and old servers, and all testing indicates that everything works as expected. With that said, here's what needs to happen next...
For server operators with manual configurations, please add the new server IPs (see below) any place you are currently referencing the old server. This will apply to everyone who is running a DNS server, whether it is private or public. If you are just using OpenNIC DNS as a client, then there will be no changes.
For those who are running the srvzone script, there is an update available at http://opennic.oss/files/scripts/srvzone. This new version allows the use of multiple IP addresses for the NS0 reference server, and has the IPs for all three servers already entered.
For those who are running the checkZone script... that code hasn't seen updates in over two years, it's time to upgrade!
Please make sure you also update any special rules you may have implemented, such as for rate-limiting.
--- OLD SERVER ---
75.127.96.89; 2001:470:1f0e:8a0::2;
--- NEW SERVERS ---
45.56.115.189; 2600:3c02::f03c:91ff:fe33:e1ba;
45.56.116.224; 2600:3c02::f03c:91ff:fe33:e1d9;
Also for reference, the server reports page has been is being tested on the new machines at http://report.opennicproject.org/
There are still some issues, but it is mostly working.
