A year ago we had problems with trolls filing bogus votes like "potato salad" and demanding they be counted, demanding that people who propose should not be able to vote, questioning the legitimacy of the voting processes, and attacking people in languages they don't speak. So we decided to use the Wiki instead, and avoid these problems.
