It's been my experience that postfix is overkill for many
installations.  (I run both postfix and exim...for something like what
Tim wants to do, exim is probably the way to go.)

A quick glance at that guide tells me it's not for the faint-hearted,
nor for the inexperienced.  

I use vim too.  Guess there's probably a religious argument hunting
with that dog as well.
