Specifically, we use the zone 'opennic.glue' for maintaining names of tier-1 and tier-2 servers. Listing the .glue zone on the website is a two-edged sword... If we don't list it, we get questions about it. If we do list it, we get people wondering why they can't register a .glue domain.

The zone IS mentioned on various pages about the inner workings of opennic. Some people find those pages before asking about the zone, and some don't. If you are setting up a tier-2 server, you will see opennic.glue is listed as one of the zones you need to slave.

.glue is for DNS groups. It's not something for end-users to register.
Ok, that makes sense, but it's still an OpenNIC specific TLD, and I
think it should somehow be mentioned on this list (Excerpt from the
main page):

| OpenNIC provides resolution to all ICANN domains as well as OpenNIC's
| own TLDs:
|
| .geek, .free, .bbs, .parody, .oss, .indy, .fur, .ing, .micro, .dyn and
| .gopher

Otherwise it's prone to increase confusion, I assume.
I will be setting up a T2 on my new server soon and announce it to this
list when it's ready.

Best regards,

Moritz
