I'm not sure what else to add, but when the site is ready it would be important to try & get publicity through the tech zines. That is where I first read about websites for SOPA work-arounds, & about the Germans planning to put up a satellite to prevent internet censure. If those guys can get headlines in Engadget, Gizmodo, C-Net etc, I think we could for a story about increased ease of use & the total makeover.

heya-- Time to move the discussion forward. I've played with Plone. It is still as _heavy_ as I remember, and still does not respect package management. A sysadmins worse nightmare. However, it will do what we want and I am choosing to use it for the main website. So the first step here is what do we need the OpenNIC website to do?
