Hi,

I have just found that a good number of e-mails I have been sending through my mail server have not been sent.

The error was a D.N.S. error, that being that the domains could not be found.

As my mail server was using OpenNIC resolvers I decided to try others (OpenDNS) to see if that made any difference and it did!

Now my mail seems to be getting out and the cue going down.

Unfortunately I can only remember one of the two I.P.s I was using, but it was the first in my list; 89.16.173.11 which is showing as ok on the monitor.

This is troubling and has caused some considerable problems due to important business mail not getting out. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pointing my finger or wanting to blame anyone, I take responsibility for using OpenNIC resolvers, but it's not a good place for me to be and puts me off using them and I'm keen, what will it do to others confidence?

Could it have been the resolvers I was using, or something else?

Peter
