Interesting issue! The server you listed here is fine with both domains I
have here (lists.opennicproject.org and hanselka.name) and the other OpenNIC
servers seem fine as well. It could have been any number of things but if the
resolvers are showing ok on the T2 log, they are likely fine. You can always
test a server before you use it by doing "dig MX hanselka.name @IP" for
instance to see if it resolves properly. Other factors could be your system
or if you are running BIND locally, sometimes it can break things or change
/etc/resolv.conf for you.

I know that I have been using my own OpenNIC resolvers and some others and I
have had no issues with mail on this or other servers I use.

There are actually many factors to what could have been wrong, but I highly
suggest you turn on "delayed notifications" in postfix to tell you if your
messages are delayed past whatever predefined threshold you have set,
especially if you are sending very urgent emails.
