Obviously, the wiki is a labor of love carried out by those who take
the time to keep the pages updated. The beautiful thing about the
wiki is that any registered user can modify/update just about anything
on the wiki. I can tell you that we've not had much activity from our
working groups.

I'm willing to work with you on enhancing the wiki to accommodate page
translations. Right now, there's not a tracking mechanism in place.
However, I see no reason why we couldn't come up with something (and
anything we do come up with I'll just add back into the WikkaWiki
source tree).

What might be useful is an extra field associated with the wikka_pages
table that would indicate languages a particular page has been
translated to...this could be parsed to generate a count or listing of
translated pages, untranslated pages, etc. Translated pages could
autogenerate a listing of translations. In addition, there could be a
way where a user specifies a language on their settings page, and any
translated pages would automatically display when accessed.

Just for the record, a fully translatable wiki using gettext is under
development (actually, it's complete except for an installation piece
needed to convert MySQL silliness in storing UTF-8 characters). This
might spur me on to getting the missing piece done, with the hooks
needed to support translated pages.

I certainly have the dev skills to pull this off, but unfortunately
I'm a monoglot and therefore would need the guidance of those who are
more linguistically skilled than I am in these matters.
