Can you provide any more information on your particular setup? The directions that you linked to allow DHCP to set your IP address, but let you set your own DNS servers. Are you using any special software provided by your phone company to connect to the internet? If you set your own DNS servers per the instructions, do they get changed after you connect to the internet?
