Thanks for the information I will look closer at it... any reduction of redundancy (bad kind) is welcome. It's been a while since I have done an Fl/oss project. I have no idea the exact license

MUD4TLD (soon to be renamed "Regnum") has:
* Complete front-end with PHP and Python script samples (does not need to be on the same server as the back-end manager).
* Complete back-end TLD manager.
* WHOIS server.

all under the 2-clause BSD license. It is available via my cgit repository as well as github. See URL in my signature for the link if you're interested.

According to Rob Landley[1], the open source world does not have "the GPL" anymore, so you might need to specify which version of the license you intend
to use.
