Well now I feel like an idiot.  The servers are stable again, and the problem is resolved.

To be fair, there WAS a connectivity issue to begin with, which the phone company fixed.  But on top of that was another problem I hadn't thought of.  A couple weeks ago I built some new VM machines to only handle DNS resolution.  What I forgot to do was add in logrotate configs to swap out the BIND files.  The drive space filled up quickly, then each system started having troubles.

So now that I've fixed that problem, everything has been running smoothly for the past 7 hours. Sorry for any hassles.

I am having considerable problems with my connection over the last few days.  The phone company has looked into it, and now the ISP is checking their side.  It is likely some kind of routing problem, but I probably won't get an answer until sometime tomorrow.

In the meantime, my server is mostly unreachable, so if you are using this one for your DNS, I would suggest you change your entries for now.
