My proposal 7 days ago of a new TLD (see thread titled "Proposed .stl TLD - request for discussion") generated very little discussion, so I'm now calling for a vote.  I have spent quite a few hours reading the list archive for the last 12 months, and it is still not clear to me how a vote on a new TLD is to be conducted, but I assume it is sufficient to bring it to this list for a vote. 

 

So I am asking for a simple approve/disapprove response from the membership - please reply to this thread with your vote.  Thank you.

[Editorial note:] I've seen the concern that some have had in the past about people joining OpenNIC, setting things up, and then leaving a mess for others to deal with.  I am getting involved in OpenNIC as a learning experience, but also because I share this community's views on ICANN.  I plan to be involved for the long haul, so please note that if this TLD is approved, I will seek help from others in the group.  I'm not in any hurry to set this TLD up - I want to learn how it all works, and how to set it up the right way.  Thanks to everyone who has responded to my emails so far (and on IRC).  I appreciate the help.
