Hello,

Hi Oleg,

1st, I would like to say "Thank you" for OpenNIC team, for great ans stable partnership with EmerDNS. Our peering is beneficial, and lot of customer uses OpenNIC to get access to emerDNS domains.

Thank you for the kind words (though, I'm just an opennic user and am not running my own dns server for opennic).

2nd, several customers asked me - is this possible to obtain an SSL-certificate for our alt-domains (.lib .coin .bazar .emc)?

I'm not aware of comercially available certificates for opennic (and associated) tlds. There was the wish in the past, to offer certificates from *some* ca (not necessarily in the default root-bundle of every operating system and browser) for those tlds. At this time, I took a look at/into boulder (that's what letsencrypt uses) for getting something automated up and running, but to me, it looked like a beast and I ended up investing my time in other projects (and using a really crude ssh-based ca for my certificates for private use only) - sry.

I do not know such SSL-certificate vendor, who issues certificates for such domains. Maybe, you can suggest ne, ans I'll answer our customers?

Thanks in advance,

Oleg

Erich
