Hello.

My name is Steve Snyder.

I would like to contribute a DNS server to OpenNIC, and have a few questions to that end.

1. The OpenNIC DNS Wiki gives instructions for setting up Tier 1 and Tier 2 servers. Why would I opt for one over the other? Which is most in demand?

2. The server housing my proposed DNS server (BIND 9 running in a chroot'd environment) has very good uptime, but is limited to 3TB/month of network traffic. Is this limit sufficient to host an OpenNIC DNS server?

3. Reading through the BIND set-up doc on the OpenNIC DNS Wiki I am surprised to see no references to DNSSEC. Did I just miss something or are the OpenNIC zones not signed?

4. After I have configured BIND per the OpenNIC doc, how do I submit my addresses (IPv4 & IPv6) for inclusion in the public list of available OpenNIC DNS servers?

Thanks.
