Jeff--

Maybe some advance notice on serial changes before they occur? You
seem to forget we volunteer our time for this. It's not like anyone
is getting paid. Unfortunately, I simply haven't had time to sit down
and figure out how to install an updated T1 script. And no, serial
changes aren't just a fact of life. We've long had the unspoken rule
that serials never regress backwards for just this reason. I can't
imagine why it was so pressing that this particular serial had to
start at that particular place.

A lot has been broken for quite a while. I think interest wanes once
folks realize we're just being used as an alternative nameserver
provider rather than actually delivering any content via alt TLDs.
You want my suggestion? Implement a whitelist based upon access to
OpenNIC TLDs: Don't access OpenNIC TLDs? Go get your DNS somewhere
else. After all, when I started with all this (same time as you) over
a decade ago I was intrigued by the idea of a true alternative
namespace. This vision seems to have been corrupted over the years.

As for ns7: Like I keep telling you, I'll fix it when I have the time
to fix it. And I'm not telling you this with an attitude, just simply
how it is.
