It doesn't appear that we have a proper TOU, and I feel we should have 
these policies provided directly from our front page.  I thought I would 
take a moment and write up some initial thoughts based on the most 
common questions I have seen.  Please feel free to jump in with 
suggestions so that we can give new users a better idea of what to 
expect.  These items will be reorganized for the final draft, but if you 
wish to add a new item, give it a letter for reference in discussions.


TERMS OF USE

A) While we respect our member's privacy, we do not have full control of 
the information you send over our servers.  If you make a query to 
example.com, that query will go through OpenNIC DNS servers, through the 
primary .com DNS servers, and finally end up at the nameserver for 
example.com.  OpenNIC cannot guarantee what level of logging may be 
involved once your query leaves our control.

B) Access to OpenNIC is not guaranteed.  Servers may become unavailable 
without notice.  Members are responsible for keeping their DNS 
configuration updated, and may find the current status of servers at 
http://opennicproject.org/report/

C) Domains registered under OpenNIC are not guaranteed to always be 
available.  We will do our best to ensure that domain information is 
maintained, however some circumstances will be beyond our control 
including but not limited to ICANN choosing to use one of our TLDs for 
their own purposes.
