I am well aware of the fact that opennic.glue redirects to the public facing website, but the system did previously exist actually. The line I'm referring to is the last line on the wiki article for the charter (URL referred to earlier in thread) - "When a vote is called, the voting official makes the vote public on the
site, it will appear in left column, and will only be viewable to
registered users." There obviously isn't a left column on the site either. But you told me what I did was "procedurally invalid" - do you see the point here? You can't say something is "procedurally invalid" if you aren't going to follow the procedures. What I proposed is not procedurally invalid. The only invalid piece was, quite obviously, calling for a second. Everything else is perfectly okay. Currently, our voting procedure says that for an item to pass, it must receive a simple majority (50% + 1). This system does not traditionally allow for 3 ballot options, it allows for basically a yes/no or pass/fail ballot, which is pretty standard at OpenNIC. What Peter recommend in his voting proposal was an 'EITHER OR' situation... therefore, since I believe that as a member, there is a better way of solving this, I suggested my 'YES/NO' proposal. If you would rather all 3 be together, then simply state that. Don't tell me I'm procedurally incorrect and call me "petty" when what I'm doing is perfectly 'OK' with our current charter. If anyone is procedurally incorrect or out of line here, it is you for simply putting down another member's right to propose something.

Are you for some reason unfamiliar with the fact that www.opennic.glue
has redirected to www.opennicproject.org for ages, and has never, ever
allowed logins using the LDAP system the mailing lists, wiki, and API
all use? Much less has a voting system in place? You're referring to
theoretical systems that don't exist (no matter how much they were
intended to) as though you know they do- and telling me I need to
familiarize myself with and support those systems as the way things
are done in this organization.
This is the way we've been doing things. Yes, it's slightly out of
line based on the charter. Until the charter is updated to reflect the
tools actually available, this is how we'll continue to do things.
