It appears that the attacks have subsided over the last few hours.  Web pages seem to be responding again, along with the server reports.

As many have noticed, the homepage and reports page have been intermittent, but mostly offline the past few days.  I don't know a lot about what is happening, but there has been a sustained ddos attack against linode which of course affects servers they are hosting.  If anyone has more information, please share!

The servers page at https://servers.opennicproject.org/ along with the API pages are operating from a different host and not affected by this.  Also be aware that the root zone is being generated from NS2 (173.160.58.202), and is also still available from 75.127.96.89.  Both of these servers are valid masters for the root zone.

Although a number of tier2 servers may be marked as failing or offline, please manually check for yourself before discarding an entry.  Since the reports server is also falling under this attack, the results will be unreliable.  Some of the tier2 servers may also be hosted on linode and be unresponsive, but a large number of opennic servers are still available and working correctly.  If the attacks continue, I will probably attempt to run a local copy of the reports from NS2 to provide more up-to-date information.
