We are also supporting the non-censorship approach and have in fact built an anti-censorship measure into .tut domains - all of them are mirrored at .tut.tld.dev.srl which avoids censorship by OpenNIC (not that we think they would try to do censorship but splitting to multiple systems is a good approach IMO)

On the other hand, we can always use new servers, and if your school's administration is willing to sponsor an OpenNIC server at their own expense, and open up .tut to the (OpenNIC-using) general public, that might be something to talk to the administration about.

Keep also in mind that there is no censorship with OpenNIC, except for some "blacklisting" servers which have built-in adblocking and/or protection against malicious Namecoin domains, so if you're looking for something with built-in parental controls, OpenNIC would not be what you're looking for.

Hang around on the mailing lists, take a look at mailing list archives and TLD charters, and then present a report to your school administration and see if they're willing to sponsor an OpenNIC server or just have .tut within a company Intranet. Let us know what they have to say and we can have a vote.
