I am not sure this is a good idea. Maybe we can just add a requirement for a simple web server on the T2 servers with a simple status page or a redirection to the OpenNIC website, and when the server is planned to be removed, just display a warning on this page. This would not disrupt with DNS.

It needs to be a wildcard/default vhost because all your passing back is an IP address
