As a "casual" anime fan (meaning the anime I watch is probably not
"anime" in the purest sense), I think this is great!  Especially if
you can bring some unique content to .otaku rather than just mirroring
ICANN-space content.  

There are a couple of F/OSS apps out there for TLD registrations.  You
can check them out at http://wiki.opennic.glue/NewTLDs.
