The content is licensed by inclusion of the CC license. There should
be no copyright notice posted, as it's redundant and could possibly be
construed just as you bring up. OpenNIC doesn't want anyone's
copyright. It's understood that the contributor retains copyright and
agrees to have their content publicly disseminated under the terms of
the license.

I really don't see what the issue is here, unless we're just arguing
for the sake of argument.
