Because that will get extremely complicated extremely quickly.

For reference, any wikipedia article has thousands of tiny contributions from thousands of people across the globe.

Imagine attempting to track every tiny contribution and the licensing agreements of each tiny change!

That's part of why I think copyright law should be abolished completely, but that's neither here nor there.

Three days seems a little short for everyone to have the time and
opportunity to realize what you are doing and also simply removing any
content that authors have contributed that would prefer a different
license seems ungrateful and counter productive. Why not simply add the
license details to a contribution along with attribution?
