I've set up a T2 server in a VirtualBox VM before. There's not much to do to maintain it, really, especially if you run the auto-T2-update scripts someone else here made. I haven't tried it on my own as I was looking to move to a lighter Linux distro before going any farther with it.

He might not be too far off, there.  Honestly I don't know of anyone who is currently running a nameserver for OpenNic on a Windows box.  I believe there were some attempts at it in the past, but the machine was too unstable and got shut down.

With that said, if anyone decided they wanted to pursue this, I would be happy to work with them to set up the necessary configuration and potentially help write up something in _vbscript_ to automate the updates.
