It's not legal in most places from what I know, although small towns and stuff generally don't care as long as it doesn't interfere with the utility company's infrastructure.

Oh, I thought you were bridging them wirelessly. In my locale it's not
legal to have a private cable on public property without a permit, and
that's not reasonable for most people. Meaning that type of
infrastructure is usually run by the people choosing not to give us
that permit.
