Viewing video over the T.O.R. network doesn't sound like a good idea...

V.P.N. or possibly a proxy would be the way.

What you're describing is not a DNS-related problem, but one with your actual IP. You may want to try Tor or VPN to circumvent it. However, I'm quite sure that there will be other sources for the show than NBC. If you don't insist on HD quality, that is. Possibly. Give the net an hour or two, and you'll be able to find what you missed. You should in this case, however, rely upon Tor.

I've set up a laptop with a US DNS as the primary DNS, and a Quebec, Canada
based DNS as the secondary DNS. I am located in Canada.

When I attempt to view a "Saturday Night Live" video on the NBC website, I
receive a reply that I am not permitted to do so, since I am not located in
the US. I didn't expect this response, based on the US DNS setting.

Must I also change the DNS setting in my cable modem-router? Or set the
secondary DNS as a US DNS as well?

Thanks, Christopher Harris
