We followed this same workflow, more or less, the last time we voted, but you're right, it isn't written down anywhere.
I have no issues with it.

With the recent and past confusions with voting, it's time to solve this
problem. The problem isn't the voting system however, it's the workflow.
I've looked for a voting policy for OpenNIC and I can't find one. I'd
like help to create one so we don't get into this confused state again.
We can first talk/debate(!=flame) the workflow and then build a policy
around that.
The current(un-documented) workflow is this. propose idea on m/l ->
discuss idea for 7 days -> some one calls a vote -> vote gets seconded
-> vote established(7days) -> vote closes -> winner announced
Any thoughts on the current workflow?
