That is good information, thanks Jeff.

I would suggest though that of those 146 domains
it is likely that less than 10 are in use. In fact
my experience with grep.geek sites is that roughly
one in ten of those there do not exist. So perhaps
there are only 5 .free sites in actual use. One would
have to check all 146 domains by hand (a bot won't do)
and look to see if there is actually any real content.

I don't wish to sound overly negative, but some
people on this list seem to be having hallucinations
or grandiose dreams about the status of OpenNIC in
the internet world. OpenNIC is important, for sure,
but not everybody thinks so and our buy-in is an
immeasurable percentage.
