My suggestion is to contact the new domain owner first to see if they will allocate those domains..  That solves the issue.  If they say no  then icann should be next on the list.  I looked a couple days ago for the  contact at amazon didn't really find who the right person would be.

There is no single person who "runs" openNIC, so anyone who participates
is welcome to step up and start moving on this, conferring with the list
before anything pushed out, as usual.

Who could be contacted regarding this?  ICANN, Amazon, IETF, ...??
