thanks. I think I got the problem understood.

/etc/db.root is where you are slaving the root zone to, please change;

zone "." {
type slave;
file "/etc/db.root";
masters { 216.87.84.214; 66.96.213.86; 128.177.28.254; 207.192.71.13;
66.244.95.11; 178.63.116.152; 202.83.95.229; };
allow-transfer { any; };
notify no;
};

to

To prove or un-prove my point I predict that dig dns.opennic.glue
@127.0.0.1 and post back the output.
