There are probably many reasons that people can come up with, but one is
the ability to spoof/hide urls in the html tags and images, making an
URL or image appear as one place, but sending you somewhere else.
Then many people find the embedded images, multi-color flashing things,
and gigantic multi-color fonts, as well as microscopic fonts to be annoying.
And on and on...I think everybody has their own version of the most
annoying embedded html.
