I second this! I am very curious about the motivation behind such things, especially since it seems you are at least somewhat familiar with the owner! :)

stephan48 on IRC I was able to find a solution. In the end, it was my ISP
intercepting DNS requests. And I thought he was a such cool guy. :-(

I'm bypassing it with this neat script -
