It looks like the new site may need some fine-tuning. I was looking
into the t2log page issue, and noticed the system barely responding
to commands. Apache was hogging the cpu, and both mysql and bind
had crashed. I restarted everything, and it looks like it is
working again... The t2log page is back online. The directory was not linked into the new site, but the reports were still being run in the background (except for the past half hour when everything crashed). Hopefully everything is back in place now. But I have one question: where has T2LOG gone? Thanks

heya-- I am very pleased to announce a new website and member registration system for OpenNIC. This has been months is the work, and I think it is ready for release. The new site I really hope is straight to the point with information easily found. I think the mistake with the old site is it tried to do too much. Voting will be on the main site still, with no plans to change this yet. Now onto the new membership registration system. One of the pains with OpenNIC was the variety of sites you had to remember a username for. This has been addressed with a central authentication system. This system allows you to use the one username on all OpenNIC sites. This only covers the main webite and the mailing list so far. The wiki will follow in the coming months. What this means for you? You will have to visit http://members.opennicproject.org/ to create a new account, as the old accounts have not been ported over. If you have any dramas with the sites please email general AT opennicproject.org with your issue. SSL will be coming to these sites very soon once a choice iin providers is made. I really hope that all of this work makes OpenNIC eaiser for all to use! I'm happy to answer any quetions. Thanks for all the fish! --julian -------- You are a member of the OpenNIC Discuss list.
