We used to have free OpenNIC email addresses. I know at least my server will accept and send OpenNIC mails with no problem, so you can use an OpenNIC address on the mailing list.  However, it is fairly difficult to promote OpenNIC email usage as so many people can't use it.  For instance, while I could send something to gmail.com as purrdeta AT purrdeta.free, they could never respond.  Thus, really the only people who could receive/send opennic mails reliably would be those of us here who also run email servers and I don't know if there are many people who do that.

I'd love to see perhaps a free opennic email provider pop up again though. :)

Hi Alex,

I've just been migrating my email to a new server, retiring the old
one so my email has been a little wobbly last couple days.

I think I have most of it sorted out now.

On the topic of email, do we have any kind of a game plan for
promoting OpenNIC email usage? I understand there are issues with
ICANN<->OpenNIC email exchanges, but what about promoting /
encouraging using OpenNIC email addresses while using OpenNIC?
