A couple of things:

1) dotPirate is going to be launched within days... we have been working with .oss / .parody (Jeff) to help develop his system so that he can relaunch his TLDs at the same time. Things have gotten delayed  bit, but overall we are still doing well.

2) Everything on my blog should be taken with a grain of salt (though it's true that I just acquired a new torrent site, one that I didn't build nor have I put any meaningful amount of work into, until I get .pirate launched), I was just updating things on my dotPirate server and decided I should also setup a ghost blog on my personal server. The post was supposed to be kept private, but I am new to the system.

Yes, we are past the deadline -- but Julian has been kept in the loop with our progress.

Soon I am also planning on transferring control of the TLD to a non-profit which will officially manage the domain, I will still be the domain name's spokesman but we will establish a committee to oversee the various aspects of operation. This is done to protect the service legally as well as provide some transparency to the .Pirate brand.

Interesting development here though...
