A deadline was set, and it was broken. The agreement was if the deadline was not met, we could hold a vote on transferring control of the .pirate TLD to another person. If the list/organization believes that we need to hold a vote, then let's do it. I wont rush an unfinished project, just because someone thinks that an entire platform can be built in a month.
There are plenty of other TLDs that are inoperative right now, .oz, .oss, .parody, to name three (I haven't checked the others but I bet there are a couple more). In addition to those, there are serious security concerns I have with any domain that is currently running on the gallium system. As I stated before, .pirate domains have to be above and beyond what has been offered before because their demand is higher and we will have a ICANN facing website.
The only thing that would happen if we switched the management of the domain to someone else right now is it would take them another month at least to launch the service, or they would use the system I have been developing with Jeff, when that launches, meaning it will be the same amount of time, or they will use one of the insecure systems that are already in place like gallium.
Instead of working against us, perhaps Peter, you would like to serve on the committee which works on and develops .pirate?
Studies show trees live longer when they are not cut down.

Either way, in my opinion the deadline set at 01/04 was way long enough
given the months and months running up to setting that deadline, it's
just ridiculous!
And why set a deadline, agree to meet it and then just stretch it out
yet again? Are there going to be more delays?
This is a joke, but not a very funny one.
Peter
