I like the Julian's idea, but i propose that TXT field can be:

a) Opt-in

$ORIGIN link.$TLD
@	TXT	"link=public"

b) Enforce Opt-out

$ORIGIN link.$TLD
@	TXT	"link=private"

c) (Default) Absense of link TXT value means opt-out

link field can be used with other values for future opennic functionality
examples:
 "link=public, redirect"
"link=public, index"
etc...

Rethinking this, what about making it opt-in? That way people who are
interested can do it and those not, don't have to actively think about
it and get caught out.

$ORIGIN link.$TLD
@	TXT	"linkme"

Something like the above could work? No need for an A record, just a TXT
record for link.TLD. The presence of such a thing means add it to the
link DNS zone. This is a win-win as it means only active domains are
listed on our ICANN facing page.
