I must say, I have a hard time understanding what
English has to do with it. The same executable
extensions are used by MS-Windows users everywhere,
as far as I know, and .js is cross platform. As
for language or cultural preferences, I'm pretty
wide ranging and French is an excellent choice
- especially since it is one of the, so called,
world languages (cf.).

It would seem that you and I agree on many things
regarding a better internet, however, I don't think
that much of that is within our control - nor should
be. The fact remains that people will use whatever
software they want (or more often, given) but we
should still be protective of them simply because
it is the right thing to do.

I don't use Windows or Mac, and for browsing rarely
even use Linux. However, just because I personally
eschew current fashion does not mean that I have any
expectations of other users.
