It was mentioned on IRC today that the .free TLD has been taken over by ICANN, which puts opennic in conflict. Can anyone confirm if this is actually the case?

If this is true, then we only have two options... retain our TLD and conflict with ICANN, or drop our TLD and all of the domains underneath it (there are currently 150 registered domains).
