I was left wondering if there is some operator who has a misconfiguration after going over the various TLD registration pages to try to assemble a unified "howto" for my DNS servers' homepage because several of the linked registration pages don't seem to work.  Other than reg.for.free's domains what I've already mentioned, register.gopher also goes to the 'computer rehab domain hosting' refererencing this mysterious 'Jeff' that spaesani mentions for opennic.free  Or perhaps someone had a server go offline at some point and hasn't replaced the data.

.free resolves fine at register.free but not www.register.free
opennic.free resolves to a domain list of one Jeff
For .reg nor register.reg or opennic.reg resolve anywhere.
All of this using firefox.
Quite possible the dns record is what's causing the problem
