I'd much rather have a code of conduct than this proposal.

I find the current proposal very vague, for example "Praises an OpenNIC member on basis of their character or actions" could apply to thanking someone for helping setup a server.
Also, "Criticizes or comments on a proposal or vote, past or present, [whether passed or failed] in which an OpenNIC member is criticized on basis of their character or actions." is very specific and corresponds to recent events. It could also apply to any form of comment on a proposal.

I’d recommend establishing a code of ethics/ conduct for OpenNIC, rather than this proposal. I’m sure there are plenty of those on the Net we could adopt/adapt.
