"Current situation" usually implies instability of some sort, as if a
business is about to shut down due to lack of funds.

Probably half of the "trolling" going on right now is because of the
differences between users' *native* languages, rather than the languages used
on the mailing list.
As another user pointed out, a for-German-eyes-only post about me used
phrases which Google translated as nonsense with words like "round" "quick
shot" and with "Mr. Quintiliani" and "demolition" in the same sentence. A
German speaker, I forget who, pointed out that these are literal translations
of German expressions which do not imply death threats.
